DESCRIPTION:Day of the Dead is an important cultural celebration originally from Mexico\, in which the soul of those that passed away is\ncelebrated instead of mourned upon. It is an opportunity for family and friends to gather to pay respect and to remember their friends and family who have passed away. \nIn addition\, to the altar (offering) that we will set up on campus\, we are planning a Day of the Dead themed social event at the Kelowna Brewing Company (KBC)\, which is located on a walking distance from campus (975 Academy Way #121\, Kelowna\, BC V1V 3A4) to honor such traditional celebration. This event is meant for students (both Latin and non-latin) to come together\, and celebrate this symbolic day. \nTickets on Eventbrite
