DESCRIPTION:Day of the Dead is an important cultural celebration originally from Mexico\, in which the soul of those that passed away is\ncelebrated instead of mourned upon. It is an opportunity for family and friends to gather to pay respect and to remember their friends and family who have passed away. \nIn addition\, to the altar (offering) that we will set up on campus\, we are planning a Day of the Dead themed social event at the Kelowna Brewing Company (KBC)\, which is located on a walking distance from campus (975 Academy Way #121\, Kelowna\, BC V1V 3A4) to honor such traditional celebration. Based on new Student Association Regulations\, it is mandatory for a minimum of one executive from every Student Association to attend to retain active status for your club or course union. It’s not just for Student Associations wanting funding any more! \nWith constantly changing restrictions within the province right now\, it is important to come and learn what is possible and what is not. What is possible today could be different tomorrow. Keep this in mind with all of your event planning. If restrictions change the day before you have planned an event\, everything to carry it out or even being able to have the event could change. \nWe will have a general question and answer period at the end of all our presentations and all SUO executives will be present! Have your questions ready for us to answer!
