DESCRIPTION:The Runnymede Society (RMS) is proud to host Andrew Petter for a fireside chat with Dr. Geoffrey Sigalet discussing Canadian federalism with a focus on the Federal Spending Power. Andrew Petter is a law professor and has written extensively on the role of the Canadian Charter. He served as MLA for Saanich South from 1991 to 2001 and in several provincial cabinet posts\, including as the Attorney General of BC. Additionally\, he served as Dean of the University of Victoria Faculty of Law from 2000 to 2008\, as well as President and Vice-Chancellor of Simon Fraser University from 2010 to 2020. \n \nAll are welcome to attend this event!
