DESCRIPTION:This popular annual event brings together the local arts community to celebrate the work of our students\, faculty\, alumni\, as well as artists practicing in the community in the spirit of raising funds. \nThe evening is an entertaining art raffle with many more exciting prizes available to be won. Over 100 works of art are collected from local artists\, faculty\, and students. One ticket admits two people to the event\, and guarantees winning one work of art from the collection. Even the last ticket drawn has a choice from over 20 works\, which creates an atmosphere of suspense and entertainment. \nFunds raised from this event are distributed amongst the Visual Arts Course Union to financially aid with events such as the 4th year graduate exhibition\, visiting artists\, and art focused student trips. Each year\, 10% of the proceeds go to a local charity. \nEME Foyer 0020 & 1030 Mezzanine

DESCRIPTION:Draw By Night – Kelowna is an ongoing bi-monthly public event held in different locations around the city – periodically at the Alternator Centre\, Kelowna Art Gallery\, the Kelowna Museums\, Kettle River Brewery and BNA Brewing that promotes creativity\, imagination and collaboration through the process of drawing. \nIt is a social drawing party which asks its participants to collectively and freely draw in a social setting on large rolls of paper. The objective is to be surrounded by like-minded creative individuals and ask them to draw under one theme\, often related to the current exhibition\, in an informal setting that promotes networking and inspiration. \nParticipants converse visually through collaborative drawing or are inspired by others to produce something individually. The aim is to engage creative people from various disciplines throughout the community including students\, industry professionals\, visual artists\, hobbyists and the general public and get them all drawing! \nLocation: BNA Brewing Co.
