SPC Volunteer Questionnaire
Volunteer Director: This is the lead volunteer position, meaning you will be in charge of overseeing the Resource Centre and volunteer team. The Volunteer Director is responsible for working alongside the SUO and a volunteer team to run events and initiatives to create a sense of community for students on campus. The time commitment for this volunteer position is ~5-10 hours per week.
General duties include:
- Creating and facilitating events, activities, and initiatives to foster a sense of community on campus.
- Creating a financial plan alongside the Resource Centre Facilitator, process relevant funding decisions, and track related budgets and payments.
- Coordinate and oversee volunteers for the centre.
- Actively oversee all spaces for the centre, such as social media and other membership-facing communication forums.
Executive Volunteer: There are multiple executive positions within each centre. Executive volunteers are a Resource Centre’s core team and will often take the lead on specific events or initiatives. The time commitment for this volunteer position is ~5-10 hours per week.
General duties include:
- Creating and facilitating events, activities, and initiatives to foster a sense of community on campus.
- Help oversee a team of volunteers within the centre.
- Assist the Volunteer Director in overseeing all spaces for the centre, such as social media and other membership-facing communication forums.
